Faulkner lived and wrote many of his famous works here, including A Fable and As I Lay Dying. The home still contains his handwritten notes for A Fable on the walls of his study. Today, the University of Mississippi owns and maintains Rowan Oak, keeping its legacy alive for literature lovers and history buffs alike.
